Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Social Relations Officer to facilitate community engagement and ensure positive relations between our hydropower project and local stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing social impact assessments and implementing community development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies for the hydropower project.
- Conduct social impact assessments and community needs assessments.
- Coordinate with local communities, government agencies, and NGOs.
- Organize community meetings and outreach programs.
- Monitor and report on the social performance of the project.
- Address community concerns and ensure effective communication.
Job Specification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- years of experience in social relations, community development, or similar roles, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of social impact assessment processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English language.
