Job Description
- Assist customers with flight reservations, changes, cancellations, and inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
- Provide information on flight schedules, fares, and policies to help customers make informed decisions.
- Process ticket purchases, exchanges, refunds, and upgrades accurately using reservation systems.
- Collaborate with other departments such as sales, operations, and finance to resolve customer issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Keep abreast of airline policies, fare rules, and industry regulations to provide up-to-date information to customers.
- Handle special requests such as wheelchair assistance, dietary restrictions, and unaccompanied minors with care and attention to detail.
- Assist passengers with check-in procedures, boarding passes, and baggage requirements as needed.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude while dealing with challenging situations or irate customers.
- Contribute to team efforts to achieve sales targets, customer satisfaction goals, and operational excellence.
- Stay informed about promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs to encourage customer retention and repeat business.
Job Specification
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in tourism, hospitality, or related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in customer service, sales, or travel industry preferred.
- Proficiency in computer systems and reservation software (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages may be advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in processing transactions and managing documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per airline schedules.
- Knowledge of geography, airline routes, and international travel requirements is beneficial.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
