Job Description
Position: Business Development Specialist - Bidding and Regulatory
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
- Manage tax clearance and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with tax updates and align internal processes accordingly.
Company Registrar Tasks:
- Handle company registration, name corrections, and closures with the registrar.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of related documentation.
Regulatory Updates:
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant teams.
- Assist in implementing new compliance procedures.
- Maintain and monitor compliance with government bodies
Bid Preparation:
- Assist in preparing and drafting technical and commercial proposals for bids.
- Coordinate with relevant teams (legal, technical, finance) to gather required information for bid submission.
- Review tender documents to understand client requirements, terms, and conditions.
- Ensure that all necessary documents, certificates, and compliance reports are included in the submission.
Bid Submission and Follow-up:
- Submit bids on time while ensuring compliance with tender specifications.
- Track and manage deadlines for submission and clarifications.
- Follow up on submitted bids, provide additional information as required, and respond to client queries during the evaluation process.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research on potential tenders and market opportunities.
- Analyze competitor bids and market trends to identify areas for improvement in proposals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, bidding regulations, and government policies affecting the bidding process.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure that all bids comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Coordinate with the legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks related to bidding.
- Maintain accurate records of all bid submissions, contracts, and communications for future reference.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of bids, including status reports, and provide updates to senior management.
- Prepare post-bid analysis reports to evaluate the success rate and areas of improvement.
Job Specification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role.
- Strong knowledge of tender/ bidding processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
