Job Description

A mobile engineer is responsible for designing and developing and implementing software programs for mobile platforms. Mobile engineers work closely with other engineers, designers , product managers and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and development. They also oversee testing, debugging and also play an active role in launch of the products in mobile platforms.

We are looking for an experienced mobile development engineer who is proficient at react native and is also familiar with both mobile platforms ( Android and IOS).

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UI across both mobile platforms
  • Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native
  • Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
  • Release applications to IOS and Google Play stores

Job Specification
  • More than a year of mobile application development experience for Android and/or iOS applications. If you have some apps on the app store and play store, it will be well considered
  • Should have experience with JavaScript and React native
  • Knowledge and practice of industry-standard best practices and principles like SOLID, DRY, clean code architecture, and the likes
  • Ability to write automated tests for your code. We respect you, we don’t ask for 100% code coverage but you should know how to increase code coverage as needed. If you do TDD you are speaking our language
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, automated deployment, and standard DevOps/SRE practices is canary releases is expected
  • Ability to think in terms of delivery of features and communicate very effectively is crucial for excelling in this role
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Experience with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio
  • Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
