Job Description
- Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
- Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyse variances; initiate corrective actions.
- Analyse and improve organisational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Accomplish operations and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.
- Manage staff levels, wages, hours, and contractors to revenues.
- Responsible for all department team leaders, managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees.
- Manage relationships with critical operations stakeholders .
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices.
- Ensure the organisation’s processes remain legally compliant.
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability.
- Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs.
Job Specification
- Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field.
- Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management.
- Experience budgeting and forecasting.
- Familiarity with business and financial principles.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Leadership ability.
- Outstanding organisational skills.
- Confident in taking ownership of calls to problem solve and come up with solutions.
- Able to multi-task and manage time effectively without compromising quality levels.
- Team player, working collaboratively to exceed expectations.
