Job Description

  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
  • Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
  • Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyse variances; initiate corrective actions.
  • Analyse and improve organisational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Accomplish operations and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Manage staff levels, wages, hours, and contractors to revenues.
  • Responsible for all department team leaders, managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees.
  • Manage relationships with critical operations stakeholders .
  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices.
  • Ensure the organisation’s processes remain legally compliant.
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability.
  • Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs.

Job Specification

  • Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field.
  • Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role.
  • Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership ability.
  • Outstanding organisational skills.
  • Confident in taking ownership of calls to problem solve and come up with solutions.
  • Able to multi-task and manage time effectively without compromising quality levels.
  • Team player, working collaboratively to exceed expectations.
