Job Description
Job Summary:
Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting team in managing daily financial and accounting tasks. This role includes tasks such as processing transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow their knowledge in accounting principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash records.
- Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and reconcile accounts payable balances.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and reconcile accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and closing activities.
- Prepare expense reports and assist in budgeting by tracking financial transactions.
- Assist the finance team in identifying trends and areas for cost-saving.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
- Prepare documentation and reports to assist with internal and external audits.
Job Specification
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
