Job Description
Hivecraft is a service-based software development agency that partners with early-stage startups to build and scale digital products. We operate at the intersection of dedicated product development and startup incubation, offering both flexible staffing and end-to-end delivery models. We thrive on solving real problems with thoughtful design, clean architecture, and scalable code.

About The Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer with at least 3-4 years of professional experience building and shipping software products. This role is ideal for someone who’s comfortable navigating across the stack, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to contribute to multiple projects across diverse domains.

You’ll work closely with our founders, designers, and product managers to bring ideas to life — whether it’s a polished customer-facing web app, a complex backend workflow, or a quick POC for a startup MVP.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, project scoping, and technical documentation.
  • Debug, optimize, and refactor existing codebases as needed.
  • Stay current with new technologies and suggest tools or approaches that improve our workflow.
  • Work across multiple client projects with varying tech stacks and domains.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and system architecture.
  • Solid experience with version control systems like Git and modern development workflows.
  • Comfortable working with REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and modern deployment pipelines.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage time, work independently, and contribute in a remote-first setup.

Nice to have

  • Experience with early-stage startups or product teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
  • Exposure to frontend frameworks, backend systems, or mobile apps.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and client-facing communication.
