Job Description
OverviewThe EHS Officer supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across all operational sites. The role will focus on compliance, training, incident management, and driving EHS initiatives to enhance safety culture and awareness of environmental aspects.
Key Responsibilities
- EHS Documentation and Compliance:
- Review, maintain, and update ISO documentation and EHS-related records.
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and deliver EHS reports, presentations, and performance metrics to management.
- Training and Competency Development:
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs tailored to site-specific needs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Maintain training content, track training completion, and ensure compliance with EHS training requirements.
- Incident and Risk Management:
- Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and safety observations, ensuring root cause analysis is conducted.
- Track and close corrective and preventive actions to mitigate recurrence.
- Support risk assessments and the development of risk mitigation strategies.
- Audits, Inspections, and Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with EHS standards.
- Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance EHS performance.
- Monitor the proper functioning of safety equipment and emergency response systems.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination:
- Coordinate with various stakeholders on EHS matters, ensuring alignment across manufacturing units.
- EHS Program Management:
- Support the implementation of EHS projects aimed at reducing incidents, enhancing workplace safety, and minimizing environmental impact.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering discipline.
- 5-7 years of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Good knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
