Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and customer-focused Software Sales & Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the sales of our hospital software solutions and providing high-quality technical support to our clients. This role blends sales skills with technical expertise, making it ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, healthcare, and customer service.
The Software Sales & Support Engineer will be responsible for building relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and presenting software solutions tailored to meet those needs. Additionally, this role will involve offering technical support, troubleshooting, and assisting clients with the proper implementation and optimization of the software.
Key Responsibilities:Sales Responsibilities:- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify potential clients in the healthcare industry (hospitals, clinics, etc.) and build a strong pipeline of sales opportunities.
- Product Demonstrations & Presentations: Conduct presentations and product demonstrations for prospective clients, highlighting the features, benefits, and value proposition of the hospital software.
- Proposal Development & Negotiations: Prepare customized proposals, quotes, and contracts. Engage in negotiations to close sales deals.
- Relationship Management: Build long-lasting relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and customer needs to provide relevant and timely solutions.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records, including lead status, sales progress, and forecasts.
- Software Implementation: Assist clients with the deployment, configuration, and setup of hospital software solutions, ensuring that they are tailored to their specific needs.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical assistance to clients via phone, email, or on-site visits. Troubleshoot software-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Customer Training: Conduct training sessions to ensure clients understand how to effectively use the software and maximize its functionality.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear documentation of client interactions, technical issues, and solutions for future reference.
- Feedback & Product Improvement: Collect feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and communicate these findings to the development team.
- Education: A degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in sales (preferably in software or technology sales).
- Experience providing technical support in a software-related role, ideally in the healthcare or hospital software domain.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong sales skills, including the ability to engage with clients, identify needs, and close sales deals.
- Technical aptitude to understand and support software products effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
- Problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Own vehicle for travel to client sites.
- Previous experience in selling hospital or healthcare software solutions is a plus.
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR), hospital management systems, or healthcare IT solutions is a significant advantage.
- Willingness to Travel: The role requires frequent travel to client sites for meetings, software demos, and support visits.
