Job Summary:

The Counsellor cum Admission Officer is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, providing academic and career counselling, and ensuring a smooth transition into the educational institution. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of educational programs, and the ability to assess students' needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Counselling:
  • Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to prospective students regarding academic programs, career options, and admission requirements.
  • Assess students' interests, skills, and goals to recommend suitable educational pathways.
  • Offer guidance on personal development, study skills, and time management.
  • Admissions:
  • Manage the admissions process, including application review, interviewing candidates, and making admission decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all applicants and admissions activities using appropriate software.
  • Develop and implement admission strategies to attract prospective students.
  • Communication and Marketing:
  • Prepare and deliver presentations at schools, fairs, and other recruitment events to promote the institution.
  • Create informative materials for prospective students and parents regarding admission procedures and educational programs.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Follow-up and Support:
  • Follow up with applicants to ensure they complete the necessary steps in the admissions process.
  • Provide ongoing support to admitted students, helping them with registration, orientation, and settling into their academic life.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with academic departments to stay updated on program offerings and changes.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to enhance student services and improve the overall admissions experience.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in academic advising, admissions, or counselling is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
