Job Summary:The Counsellor cum Admission Officer is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, providing academic and career counselling, and ensuring a smooth transition into the educational institution. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of educational programs, and the ability to assess students' needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Counselling:
- Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to prospective students regarding academic programs, career options, and admission requirements.
- Assess students' interests, skills, and goals to recommend suitable educational pathways.
- Offer guidance on personal development, study skills, and time management.
- Admissions:
- Manage the admissions process, including application review, interviewing candidates, and making admission decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of all applicants and admissions activities using appropriate software.
- Develop and implement admission strategies to attract prospective students.
- Communication and Marketing:
- Prepare and deliver presentations at schools, fairs, and other recruitment events to promote the institution.
- Create informative materials for prospective students and parents regarding admission procedures and educational programs.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance outreach efforts.
- Follow-up and Support:
- Follow up with applicants to ensure they complete the necessary steps in the admissions process.
- Provide ongoing support to admitted students, helping them with registration, orientation, and settling into their academic life.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with academic departments to stay updated on program offerings and changes.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance student services and improve the overall admissions experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Experience: Prior experience in academic advising, admissions, or counselling is preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
