Summary

Cedar Gate Services is looking for a few highly skilled Senior Software QA Engineers – HEDIS Specialized to join our team. As a Sr. Software QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our healthcare IT solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, and procedures based on functional and technical specifications
• Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, usability, performance, and security of applications
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies based on NCQA-HEDIS requirements, specifications, and guidelines
• Ensure test coverage for HEDIS measures, focusing on quality and compliance
• Validate the calculation of HEDIS measures such as preventive care, treatment of chronic conditions, and other healthcare performance metrics
• Verify data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes in healthcare systems to ensure proper measure calculations
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA team's skills and capabilities
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
• Analyze functional and non-functional healthcare requirements to design comprehensive decision tables
• Define and prepare relevant test data based on decision tables
• Knowledge of Jira or any test management tool

Required Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of software quality assurance experience, preferably in healthcare software testing
• HEDIS/NCQA experience: Familiarity with HEDIS measures and NCQA guidelines is crucial
• Experience with healthcare data systems like EHR (Electronic Health Records), claims processing, and other clinical data systems
• Familiarity with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) and regulatory requirements is a plus
• Familiarity with HEDIS measures such as preventive care, chronic disease management, and effectiveness of care
• Understanding of NCQA accreditation standards, including reporting compliance, audit requirements, and measure calculation
