About the position

The Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in driving our brand's online presence and engaging with our target audience. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies, creating compelling content, and managing our online communities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the brand's overall marketing goals.
  • Content Creation and Curation: Collaborate with our content team and create engaging and visually appealing content, including text, images, and videos, for our social media platforms. Curate relevant content from other sources to keep our audience interested.
  • Community Management: Actively engage with our followers on social media, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive and supportive online community.
  • Monthly Content Calendar: Develop and manage a monthly content calendar to plan and schedule social media posts.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse social media performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Trend Monitoring and Adaptation: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, industry best practices, and competitor activities. Adapt our social media strategies accordingly.
  • Influencer Collaboration: Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers to promote our brand and reach a wider audience.
  • Paid Social Media Advertising: Manage and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns to drive traffic, generate leads, and increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Social Media Audits: Conduct regular audits of our social media channels to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor our competitors' social media activities and identify opportunities to differentiate our brand.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively address any negative online sentiment or social media crises.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize social media performance.
  • Brand Voice Maintenance: Ensure that all social media content is consistent with our brand's voice, tone, and values.
  • Social Listening: Monitor online conversations related to our brand, industry, and target audience to identify trends, insights, and potential opportunities.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to all relevant social media guidelines, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Hashtag Research: Conduct research to identify relevant and effective hashtags for our social media campaigns.
  • Copywriting: Write engaging and persuasive copy for social media posts and captions.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in social media management or a similar role in the Ecommerce/ Online shopping domain in Nepal.
  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Linkedin).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and innovative thinking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop).
  • Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
