We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design and vehicle integration efforts. This role will focus on designing, developing, and refining vehicle systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all mechanical designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards while achieving the goals of cost-effectiveness, durability, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Mechanical Vehicle Integration: Oversee the integration of vehicle components within the motorcycle, ensuring a seamless fit and function across systems.

Design & Development: Develop and refine mechanical components, such as chassis, mounts and brackets, suspension, braking, and other key systems.

Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, embedded, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure cohesive vehicle design and alignment of mechanical and e&e systems.

Prototyping & Testing: Lead the creation of prototypes and facilitate testing for performance, durability, and safety; interpret test results to inform design revisions.

Project Management: Lead design projects from conception through to final production, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met together with product lead and project coordinator.

Innovation & Problem Solving: Identify and solve complex design and engineering challenges, proposing innovative solutions that improve vehicle performance.

Compliance: Ensure all mechanical designs comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices for motorcycle safety and performance.

Supplier Liaison: Collaborate with suppliers together with our procurement unit to source materials and components, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality requirements.

Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test results, and design change records.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on vehicle or motorcycle integration. Proven experience leading mechanical design projects, including overseeing cross-disciplinary teams.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in CAD software with preference for CATIA.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems integration, including brake systems, suspension, and chassis design.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA).
• Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC, casting, welding, injection moulding).

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with electric vehicle (EV) technology.
• Experience in the motorcycle or automotive industry.
• Knowledge of international motorcycle safety regulations and standards.
