Education: Bachelor’s in Environmental Science/Engineering or research related field

Experience: Minimum two years

Project Period: Six Months (September 2024- February 2025)


Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to the market assessment of selected household appliances and equipment. This includes overseeing data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as working closely with team members and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. The Coordinator will play a key role in providing input for the development of standards based on market data.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the comprehensive market assessment for household electrical appliances.
  2. Oversee data collection on key aspects such as annual sales volumes, production volumes, import/export volumes, and distribution channels.
  3. Analyze market data on retail and manufacturing sector characteristics, including competition, market shares, profit margins, and retail marketing strategies.
  4. Ensure that the study collects accurate and complete data to support the development of appliance standards and labelling programs.
  5. Engage with manufacturers, importers, retailers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information.
  6. Manage timelines and deliverables for the six-month project, ensuring that all tasks are completed within scope.
  7. Compile, review, and present detailed reports on market trends, production capabilities, and distribution channels to the project team.
  8. Facilitate communication and coordination between different project locations.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or a research-related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in project coordination, particularly in research,  assessments, data collection, or research-based projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with market data analysis and familiarity with electrical appliances or environmental standards is preferred.
