Job Description

Shankar Associates, Chartered Accountants (SACA) is looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Client Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Client Relationship Management: 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their accounting needs are met with a high level of service. 
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships. 
  • Understand clients' business operations and financial objectives to provide tailored accounting solutions. 
  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis: 
  • Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards and other regulatory requirements. 
  • Provide clients with financial insights and recommendations based on their financial data. 
  1. Team Leadership and Development: 
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. 
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. 
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient workflow and client satisfaction. 
  1. Accounting Operations: 
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. 
  • Implement and maintain robust accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Monitor and manage client billing and collections. 
  1. Strategic Planning and Advisory: 
  • Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. 
  • Provide strategic financial advice to support clients' business growth and decision-making. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in client accounting. 
  1. Compliance and Risk Management: 
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies. 
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits of client accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. 
  • Mitigate financial risks by identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions. 

Qualifications: 

  • Chartered Accountant or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field  
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. 
  • Proven leadership and team management skills. 
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Working Conditions: 

  • Full-time position with standard office hours. 
  • Need-based travel to client sites will be required.
