Job Description
Shankar Associates, Chartered Accountants (SACA) is looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Client Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their accounting needs are met with a high level of service.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Understand clients' business operations and financial objectives to provide tailored accounting solutions.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide clients with financial insights and recommendations based on their financial data.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient workflow and client satisfaction.
- Accounting Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Implement and maintain robust accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage client billing and collections.
- Strategic Planning and Advisory:
- Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Provide strategic financial advice to support clients' business growth and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in client accounting.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of client accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Mitigate financial risks by identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with standard office hours.
- Need-based travel to client sites will be required.
