Assistant Maintenance Manager (Mechanical & Electrical)


Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their team in Butwal, Nepal.


About the Role:

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance technicians, managing preventive maintenance programs, and collaborating with other departments to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs for mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Supervise and train maintenance technicians, ensuring they follow safety protocols and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment problems, coordinating repairs as needed.
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize disruption to production operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels of spare parts, ensuring they are readily available for repairs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the maintenance department.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to ensure clear communication and coordination on maintenance needs.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.

  • Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical and good working knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
    • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and train others. 


  •  


    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and maintenance management software (a plus).
    • Previous experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
