Job Description

The Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing workers, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:


Site Management:

Oversee all on-site activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Coordinate and supervise contractors and construction workers.

Ensure that construction activities move according to the predetermined schedule.

Quality Control:

Inspect work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Identify and resolve any issues or problems that arise on the site.

Conduct regular inspections and ensure all work meets the necessary standards.

Health and Safety:

Enforce health and safety policies on the construction site.

Ensure all workers and site visitors adhere to safety regulations.

Resource Management:

Manage and coordinate the supply of materials and equipment.

Ensure that materials and tools are available and properly maintained.

Control the project budget and minimize unnecessary costs.

Communication and Coordination:

Regular coordination with contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Provide regular updates on project progress to Project Manager.

Resolve conflicts and facilitate smooth communication among all parties involved.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress.

Prepare and submit site reports, drawings, and specifications.

Ensure all documentation is complete and up to date.

Skills:

Strong leadership and management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Working Conditions:


Primarily works on construction sites, which can involve exposure to various weather conditions.

May require working long hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on project deadlines.
