Job Description
The Institute for Life Management Science (ILMS) is a global research organization that aims to establish Life Management Science as an integrative discipline by combining managerial science approaches with social sciences. A multi-disciplinary research team explores the structure and application of personal management systems supported by a comprehensive scientific and practice-driven body of knowledge across 10 foundation domains. The ILMS initiative’s products are training, templates, toolkits, publications (articles and research reports), podcast content, and others.

Position Overview:

The Senior Copywriting Quality Assurance Specialist ensures the accuracy and quality of instructional materials by evaluating grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and style adherence. Responsibilities include identifying errors and the notifying respective stakeholders, developing brand voice and style guidelines, and maintaining comprehensive QA processes. The role involves designing upskilling sessions and mentoring, collaborating with copywriters and stakeholders to improve content quality, aligning workflows with business objectives, and ensuring seamless integration of visual and written elements.

Responsibilities:

  • Main Deliverables
    • Conduct quality reviews by evaluating the accuracy of copywriting in all instructional materials, ensuring accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and style adherence.
    • Identify errors and inconsistencies in content and notify the respective stakeholders.
    • Participate in performance reviews for Copywriters, providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality course materials.
    • Collaborate with Copywriters by providing feedback and guidance to improve the overall quality of instructional materials copy. Offer suggestions for improvements in grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and style adherence.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create workflows that align with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure visual and written elements align seamlessly.
    • Provide regular project status reports to the direct manager and stakeholders using agreed-upon communication channels.
    • Submit weekly and monthly progress reports through the designated systems.
    • Test course functionality to identify and report technical issues or inconsistencies.
  • Additional Tasks
    • Develop and iterate brand voice, tone, and style guidelines across all content.
    • Develop comprehensive QA processes for copywriting projects from initial content creation to final review.
    • Design and develop plans for upskilling sessions and 1-on-1 mentoring sessions when needed .
Requirements:

  • Education; Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, Journalism, Communication, or equivalent qualification
  • Competencies
    • Possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance, copy editing, or content review.
    • Exhibit an expert-level command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style.
    • Ensure exceptional attention to detail to consistently identify and rectify errors and inconsistencies in content.
    • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of brand voice, tone, and style guidelines to ensure strict adherence.
    • Demonstrate expertise in proofreading techniques to identify and rectify typographical errors, formatting issues, and factual inaccuracies.
    • Maintain a keen eye for consistency in branding, messaging, and content accuracy.
    • Communicate feedback clearly and persuasively to colleagues, guiding improvements effectively.
    • Cultivate a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.
    • Accurately identify errors and inconsistencies in course content.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues proactively with strategic solutions.
    • Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
    • Prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.

Employment type: Independent Contractor.

Starting date: To be discussed after an interview.

Duration: Undetermined period, with 3 months probation period.

Working hours: Full-time work, Up to 40h/week.

Working schedule: During office hours: 08:00 – 17:00 or 09:00 – 18:00.

Location: Worldwide (Remote)
