Reports to: General Manager

Working days: Sunday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm (9 Hours/day)

Position Details

Biocomp is seeking a qualified Supervisor for the Construction of Biocomp’s factory in Simara & the supervisor should have a background in Civil Engineering. The supervisor will oversee the construction of our new factory and will coordinate with the relevant stakeholders such as ward, municipality, Special Economic Zone in Simara, construction companies, and Biocomp’s management team in the Kathmandu office. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction supervision, excellent site management skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with relevant stakeholders. This role is critical to ensuring that the factory is built on time, within budget, and as per the required quality standards.

The objective of this role

• Ensure timely completion of the project
• Maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors

Key Responsibilities

Supervision and Inspection:

• Oversee daily construction activities
• Inspect construction quality and adherence to designs
• Ensure the construction complies with the technical drawings and contracts signed
• Ensure the quantity of materials used as per BoQ and record it properly
• Monitor budget and expenses
• Ensure all activities comply with local regulations and standards
• Do quality assurance of concreting and fabrication process along with materials used
• Implement and monitor safety measures

Coordination and Communication:

• Facilitate effective communication with contractors and stakeholders
• Prepare necessary reports, including daily site diaries, bills and quantity log book & weekly progress reports
• Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly
• Make decisions in the best interest of the project and Biocomp
• Ensure project milestones are met on time by the contractors

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum two years of experience in supervision of construction projects
• Proven track record of successful supervision of construction projects
• Excellent reporting skills
• Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• 2-wheeler vehicle license
