Job Description
A Computer Teacher is responsible for teaching students computer science, digital literacy, and technology-related subjects. They create lesson plans, deliver engaging instructional sessions, and ensure students gain essential IT skills. Additionally, they manage computer labs, troubleshoot technical issues, and integrate technology into the learning process.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons on computer science, programming, digital literacy, and IT fundamentals.
- Teach software applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and graphic design tools.
- Introduce coding languages like Python, Scratch, HTML, Java, etc.
- Educate students on cybersecurity, internet safety, and responsible digital behavior.
- Integrate technology into other subjects to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
Curriculum Development
- Design and update lesson plans according to educational standards and technological advancements.
- Implement innovative teaching methods, including hands-on projects and problem-solving activities.
- Develop assessment tools like quizzes, assignments, and practical projects to evaluate student learning.
Classroom & Lab Management
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in the computer lab.
- Ensure students follow ethical guidelines and safe internet practices.
- Monitor student progress and provide additional support when needed.
Professional Development & Collaboration
- Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and education.
- Participate in teacher training programs and workshops.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate technology into various subjects.
Student Engagement & Mentorship
- Encourage students to participate in coding competitions, hackathons, and IT clubs.
- Guide project-based learning and research activities.

Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching computer science, digital literacy, or related subjects.
- Strong understanding of programming languages, computer hardware, software, and digital technologies.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting technical issues.
