Job Description
Lesson Planning and Delivery:
- Develop and deliver engaging science lessons that cover foundational concepts in life science, physical science, and earth science.
- Use interactive methods such as experiments, demonstrations, and hands-on activities to help students understand basic scientific principles.
- Ensure that lessons align with curriculum standards and address the developmental needs of young learners.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active participation.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and teamwork.
- Encourage students to ask questions and explore scientific concepts through discussions and experiments.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Assess student understanding through quizzes, class participation, experiments, and projects.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and track their progress.
- Modify teaching methods based on student needs and learning outcomes.
Job Specification
- A Bachelor’s degree in Science (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science) or a related field.
- A teaching certification or diploma in Education is preferred.
- Proven experience teaching science at the primary or secondary level.
- Experience in conducting science experiments and laboratory work.
- Ability to teach a wide range of scientific concepts to diverse learners, including differentiated instruction for students with varying levels of understanding.
