Job Description
- Food safety: Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards, including storing and serving baked goods safely, and keeping the workplace clean
- Preparing ingredients: Washing, measuring, slicing, peeling, roasting, and caramelizing ingredients
- Cleaning: Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, including providing clean utensils, trays, cutlery, and crockery
- Baking: Assisting with baking under the direction of the senior food worker
- Customer service: Greeting customers, taking orders, helping customers select baked goods, addressing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Inventory management: Assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Visual appeal: Ensuring the bakery is clean and visually appealing to encourage new customers
