Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions for the hotel and Skywatch restaurant.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Budgeting and Financial Planning
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for both the hotel and restaurant.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Taxation and Compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local regulations.
- Ensure adherence to legal and company financial policies.
Payroll Management
- Oversee payroll processing, including salaries, benefits, and deductions for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
Financial Reporting
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Provide management with financial insights to support decision-making.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
- Handle petty cash and bank reconciliations.
Audit and Internal Controls
- Prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Implement and maintain strong internal control systems to prevent fraud and errors.
Inventory and Cost Control
- Oversee inventory accounting for the restaurant and hotel.
- Monitor and control operational costs, including food and beverage expenses.
Support to Management
- Assist in financial decision-making by providing data-driven recommendations.
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with operational strategies.
Job Specification
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and tax laws.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Personal Attributes:
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of hospitality industry accounting practices, including F&B cost tracking and revenue reporting.
