Financial Management:

Prepare and oversee annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the agency's financial stability.
Analyze financial data to provide recommendations for cost-saving and revenue-enhancing strategies.
Ensure efficient handling of vendor payments, receivables, and payables.

Accounting Operations:

Oversee the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Supervise accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger management.
Manage supplier balances, ledgers, and payment plans.
Ensure timely data entry in accounting software like Tally and Easy Bill.

Taxation and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all taxation laws and regulatory standards, including VAT, TDS, and Income Tax.
Handle IRD filings and prepare accurate financial documentation.
Liaise with auditors and ensure timely completion of internal and external audits.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

Lead and mentor the accounting team, including junior staff.
Work closely with the sales and operations team to reconcile sales and manage refunds.
Collaborate with banks and financial institutions to negotiate the best service terms and manage overdraft facilities if needed.

Education and Qualification:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s Degree (MBA or MBS) is preferred.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within the travel and tourism industry.
Hands-on experience with financial reporting, reconciliation, and taxation.
Familiarity with travel agency operations, group tours, and vendor management is a plus.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Easy Bill) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Knowledge of taxation laws and compliance requirements relevant to the travel industry.
Proficiency in bank reconciliation and supplier ledger management.
Ability to prepare SWIFT documents and manage international transactions effectively.
