Position: IT manager

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our IT infrastructure, including cameras, telephones, desktops, software systems, and more. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of IT services, provide on-ground support to teams, and train employees on proper desktop and software usage.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management:

• Monitor and maintain all IT equipment, including cameras, telephones, and desktop systems.
• Ensure optimal performance of network and IT-related infrastructure.
• Manage and update the Swastik Software system to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee and troubleshoot the attendance management system to ensure accuracy and functionality.

Technical Support:

• Provide on-ground technical support to the team with desktop issues and software operations.
• Respond promptly to IT-related problems and resolve them efficiently.
• Assist staff in the use of technology, offering guidance and support on system functionality.
• Training and Development:
• Train staff on the proper use of desktops, software systems, and other IT tools.
• Develop and deliver training programs for new employees on IT usage and security protocols.

System Administration:

• Maintain all systems, ensuring data security and IT infrastructure integrity.
• Regularly back up data and ensure proper data storage and management procedures.
• Install, configure, and update hardware and software as needed.

Maintenance and Upgrades:

• Conduct routine checks on IT systems and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
• Ensure the timely update of software, including Swastik and other business-critical applications.

Collaboration and Reporting:

• Work closely with other departments to identify and resolve IT-related challenges.
• Generate reports on system performance, updates, and maintenance for senior management.

Other IT-related Duties:

• Stay updated on the latest technology trends and implement best practices.
• Manage IT-related vendor relationships and procurement.

Job Specification

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role.
• Proficiency in managing IT systems, including cameras, telephones, desktops, and attendance systems.
• Hands-on experience with Swastik Software is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Ability to train and mentor staff on IT systems and procedures.
• Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of network and server administration.
• Familiarity with data security practices and protocols.
• Experience in training non-technical users on IT systems.
