Job Description

  • Sales Target Achievement: Assist in achieving monthly and annual sales targets by driving sales across assigned territories and regions.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products, including rice, dal, spices, onions, potatoes, garlic, dry fruits, etc., and communicate product benefits to customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and key customers to ensure brand loyalty and repeat business.
  • Market Penetration: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the region, expanding the customer base and increasing product availability in key markets.
  • Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to senior management to help in decision-making and strategy formulation.
  • Promotions & Schemes: Assist in implementing sales promotions, discounts, and schemes to drive product uptake and increase sales volume.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors’ activities and pricing strategies, providing feedback and recommendations to the sales team for necessary adjustments.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the regional sales managers and marketing team to execute effective sales strategies and campaigns.
  • Market Feedback: Collect feedback from customers and relay it to the product development and marketing teams to improve product offerings and strategies.
  • Customer Support: Address customer queries, resolve complaints, and provide support to ensure a positive experience with the company’s products.
Job Specification

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close sales effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the FMCG market, especially in the food sector.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
