Job Description
We are looking for a talented SOP Writer to join our Kathmandu office. If you have a flair for writing and a strong understanding of UK university admission requirements, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to students’ success stories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Statement of Purpose (SOP) Writing: Craft compelling, well-structured, and personalized SOPs for students applying to UK universities.
- Editing & Proofreading: Ensure SOPs are grammatically flawless, plagiarism-free, and tailored to university requirements.
- Understanding Student Profiles: Conduct discussions with students to understand their academic background, career goals, and aspirations for study abroad.
- Compliance & Formatting: Ensure SOPs meet university and visa requirements, maintaining consistency in tone and structure.
- Additional Writing Tasks: Assist in drafting LORs (Letters of Recommendation), personal statements, and scholarship essays when required.
- Timely Delivery: Manage multiple student profiles and ensure timely completion of SOPs to meet application deadlines.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with university guidelines and industry trends to refine writing strategies.
Job Specification
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in SOP writing or academic content writing (Experience in an education consultancy is preferred)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- Writing Skills: Excellent command of English, strong grammar, and creative storytelling ability
- Research Skills: Ability to analyze student profiles and create tailored SOPs
- Attention to Detail: Strong editing and proofreading skills
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Tech Proficiency: Knowledge of MS Office, Google Docs, and plagiarism-checking tools
