Summary: The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Strategic Content Coordination Assistant (Community Management Assistant). This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.

Duties

The Community Management Assistant is responsible for supporting the development and dissemination of digital content via the U.S. Mission flagship social media properties. The incumbent serves as the visual content manager for the Contact Relationship Management (CRM) system to promote the U.S Mission’s objectives. The incumbent guides Public Engagement staff and other Mission personnel who engage with online communities on standards, regulations, and policies for the use of digital properties. The incumbent actively contributes to the online editorial calendar to identify and/or develop content creation and promotion. The Resource Coordination team maintains required office records and files and ensures that online activities, projects, and campaigns are recorded in activity tracker and contact databases.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements: EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in a multilingual, multicultural, or multinational organization is required. Market research and audience analysis, and the design and execution of online campaigns, must have been significant components of the job. Must have experience managing digital properties, including direct online interaction with the public, and content creation in multimedia and traditional formats.

Education Requirements: Two years of full-time university studies in Communications, Media Studies, or Business Management are required.

Evaluations: These may be tested (Language, Skills, and Abilities).

LANGUAGE: Fluent speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluent speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. Good technical skills in using social media, mobile platforms, and digital tools are required. Good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and graphic design is required.
