Social Development and Research center (SDRC) is one of the leading organizations in the sector of Education, Child Protection, Early Child Development (ECD), Health, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), social mobilization and community development, Livelihood promotion and pesticides management, poverty alleviation, Local governance, Income generation, Natural Resource Management, Environment conservation and Disaster Risk Management since it’s 1994 at District and Province Level. 

Social Development and Research Center (SDRC), Janakpurdham invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates (Nepali citizens only) who are reliable, accountable, and have the ability to deliver results with the highest level of integrity for the following position under “Child Protection Program”,  supported by Plan International Nepal in Consortium ship with Social Development and Research Center (SDRC)  in Janaknandini RM, Bideh, Shahidnagar, Kamala and Sabaila Municipality of Dhanusha District.

Required Qualification and Experience

Eligibility: At least Bachelor’s in Sociology, Rural Development or Social Work with more than 5 years of experience in multi-sectoral program management or Masters in Sociology, Rural Development or Social Work with 3 years.

Key Skills & Experiences:

  • At least 2 years experience in child protection related projects as project coordinator.
  • Experienced in child and women empowerment, child participation and sexual reproductive health and rights.
  • Skilled in program planning, detailed implementation planning, budget management and project cash flow monitoring.
  • Experience of working in close cooperation and coordination with local government regarding children and young women
  • Analysis of gender equality, intersectionality and feminist ideology and advocacy Committed to the protection of children and young people
  • Having good knowledge in computer operation especially word, excel and power point and having good knowledge about internet.
  • Knowledgeable about child friendly local governance
  • Able to write, speak and translate analytical reports in English and Nepali
  • Good knowledge of local language and environment.
  • Work should be carried out in the field as per requirement
  • Able to coordinate and collaborate with local and district level stakeholders.
  • Bridging between partner organizations.
  • Having a two-wheeler driver's license.
