Job Description

The Nepal Academy (Nepal Pragya Pratisthan) has received approval from the Public Service Commission to fill the following vacant positions under the approved staffing structure through open and internal competitive examinations.

Additionally, an order has been received from the High Court, Patan, regarding the filling of these positions. Hence, applications are invited from eligible candidates in accordance with the following qualifications. Applications that do not meet the requirements or are submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

  • Minimum Educational Qualification and Service Period:
    • As per clause 25(b) of the Nepal Academy Artists and Employees Service Regulations (Fifth Amendment), 2077.
    • Candidates must have completed 5 years in the post as per clause 25(2) and must have obtained the required academic qualification as specified in clause 25(4)(b).

• Minimum Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed the Proficiency Certificate Level or Secondary Education Examination (SLC) with at least a D+ and CGPA of 1.6 in all subjects (theoretical and practical) of grades 11 and 12 from a recognized educational institution or equivalent.

Minimum Educational Qualification Required: 

• Candidates must have passed the Proficiency Certificate Level or equivalent with a major in Computer Science from a recognized educational institution. Alternatively, candidates who have completed each subject (theoretical and practical) of classes 11 and 12 in the Secondary Education Examination (SLC) with at least a D+ and a CGPA of 1.6, or its equivalent, are eligible.
• For those who have not studied Computer Science, a Proficiency Certificate Level or equivalent from a recognized educational institution is required, along with passing each subject (theoretical and practical) of classes 11 and 12 in the Secondary Education Examination (SLC) with at least a D+ and a CGPA of 1.6, or its equivalent. Additionally, candidates must have completed at least 6 months of training in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Database, Adobe PageMaker, Graphic Design, Photoshop, Operating Systems, Email, and the Internet from a recognized training provider registered with the official body.

Note:

1. Application Submission Deadline: Applications must be submitted within 21 days from the date of this notice. Applications submitted within 7 days after the deadline will be accepted with double the fee.
2. Application Submission Location: Administration Branch, Nepal Academy, Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
3. Written Examination: Conducted by the Public Service Commission. Detailed information will be published later.
4. Written Examination Medium: Both Nepali and English languages will be accepted.
5. Documents Required with Application Form: A copy of the Nepali Citizenship Certificate, copies of academic qualification certificates obtained by Ashadh 2080, training certificates (if applicable), and the original bank voucher showing the payment of the examination fee to Siddhartha Bank Limited, Account No. 00115315315, in the name of the Nepal Academy. Each copy of the certificates must be self-attested by the candidate as a true copy of the original.
6. For Open and Inclusive Positions: Candidates must submit the application form and mark a circle (○) on the specified group and submit the bank voucher for the examination fee.
7. Salary and Other Benefits: As per the prevailing rules of the Nepal Academy.
8. Age Limit for Open Competition: Candidates must be at least 18 years old by the end of Ashadh 2080, and not older than 35 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates by the application deadline. However, there will be no age limit for permanent employees of the Nepal Academy.
9. Eligibility for Internal Competition: Candidates must meet the minimum service period and educational qualifications as specified in the Nepal Academy Artists and Employees Service Regulations (Fifth Amendment), 2077, by Ashadh 2080.
10. Double Fee Application Period: The age limit will not be counted during the double fee application period. Candidates who have obtained degrees from foreign educational institutions must submit a certificate of equivalency from the relevant authority in Nepal along with their application.
