Job Description

Based on the agreement received from the Public Service Commission, the following positions in the academic, technical, and administrative services at Patan Academy of Health Sciences are to be permanently filled through open and inclusive competition. Eligible Nepali citizens who are 21 years of age for official positions and 18 years of age for assistant positions, and who have not exceeded 42 years for assistant professor positions in the academic service, 45 years for associate professor positions, 40 years for technical service, and 35 years for administrative service as of 2081/03/27 BS, are invited to apply online by 2081/03/27 BS, and by 2081/04/03 BS with double the fee. The age limit does not apply to current permanent employees of the Patan Academy of Health Sciences. Incomplete applications and those missing required documents will not be processed. Qualifications, inclusive certificates, council registration certificates, training, experience, and service duration obtained after the application deadline of 2081/03/27 BS will not be considered valid. The following documents must be uploaded online as clear scanned copies:

  1. Clearly readable Nepali citizenship certificate (both sides).
  2. Transcripts and character certificates of academic qualifications starting from SLC/SEE and above for the advertised position/level.
  3. Equivalency certificate from Tribhuvan University if studied at a foreign educational institution.
  4. Council registration certificate for positions requiring professional council registration.
  5. For Indigenous/Janajati candidates: Documents certifying caste as per the National Foundation for Upliftment of Indigenous Nationalities Act, with a recommendation from the local authority and certification by the Chief District Officer if multiple surnames exist within the listed caste.
  6. For Madhesi candidates: Documents certified by an institution specified by the Government of Nepal are published in the Nepal Gazette. Until such an institution is specified, documents are certified by the Chief District Officer with a recommendation from the local authority.
  7. Additional fees for each inclusive group application: (a) Rs. 500/- for Level 10 (b) Rs. 450/- for Level 9 'B' (c) Rs. 400/- for Level 7 (d) Rs. 300/- for Level 5
  8. Recently taken a passport-sized photo with both ears visible.
  9. Digital copy of the candidate's signature in image/jpg/jpeg/png format.
  10. Written exam fees must be paid to the institution's account through Connect IPS using the provided link.
  11. Types of examination: Written and interview.
  12. The written examination will be conducted by the Public Service Commission.

  15. Candidates ineligible as per Rule 18 of the Employee Service Conditions and Facilities Regulations, 2067, will not be allowed to apply.

In accordance with the order of Mandesh dated 24/10/2079, concerning the petition from the honorable Supreme Court including Writ No. 078-wo-0660, the posts will be filled accordingly.

Required Additional Qualification: (As per Schedule 2 (c) related to Rule 17 of Patan Institute of Health Sciences, Staff Service Conditions and Facilities Regulations, 2067)

Professor:

(a) Having worked as an Associate Professor for at least five years,

(b) Published at least five articles on related subjects in Peer-Reviewed Journals, with the individual being the main author in at least four publications,

(c) Demonstrated academic and professional leadership by teaching in the position of Associate Professor,

(d) Recognized as a skilled doctor, senior scientist, excellent teacher, and/or competent researcher who has gained acclaim for achieving the objectives of his professional field or organization.

Associate Professor:

(a) Worked as an Assistant Professor for at least four years,

(b) Published at least four articles on related topics in Peer-Reviewed Journals, with the individual being the main author in at least three publications while serving as an Assistant Professor,

(c) Highly rated in teaching skills and leadership ability while working as an Assistant Professor,

(d) Recognized as a skilled doctor, senior scientist, excellent teacher, and/or competent researcher who has gained acclaim for achieving the objectives of his professional field or organization.

Assistant Professor:

(a) At least two years of experience in the relevant field, (b) Published at least two articles on related topics in Peer-Reviewed Journals, with the individual being the main author in one publication.

Lecturer:

Completion of at least four years of service in a position below one level of the relevant service group and sub-group or in an officer-level position.

Other Subjects:
