Position: Head Bartender

Job Description

Role Overview:
The Head Bartender at The Address Lounge will lead the bar operations, ensuring excellent service, high-quality beverages, and a memorable guest experience. This role requires managing the bar team, maintaining inventory, and upholding responsible alcohol service. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in a fast-paced bar environment, strong customer interaction skills, and knowledge of various beverages, including cocktails and coffee-based drinks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and engage guests in a professional, friendly manner.
• Provide drink recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Take orders accurately and efficiently while providing attentive customer service.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, and spirits, following company recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure consistency in drink preparation, presentation, and flavor.
• Possess knowledge of barista techniques for coffee drinks.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service, monitoring customer behavior and ensuring legal compliance.
• Adhere to all laws and regulations regarding alcohol service.
• Monitor bar inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Track stock usage, manage waste, and report inventory figures to management.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of beverages to maintain quality.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure efficient bar operations and smooth coordination with the kitchen and serving staff.
• Train and mentor junior bartenders as necessary.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Contribute to creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere by engaging with guests and providing a positive bar experience.
• Enhance the overall vibe of the establishment by playing a key role in guest interaction and satisfaction.
• Demonstrate strong cocktail knowledge with an ability to innovate and customize drinks.
• Flairing skills are preferred but not mandatory.

Shift Requirements:

• Must be flexible to work morning shifts and regular shifts as required.
• Adapt to fast-paced bar environments, particularly during peak hours.

Job Specification

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a busy bar environment.
• Fluent in English, Nepali, and Hindi.
• Strong spoken communication skills, capable of engaging guests.
• Proficient in cocktail preparation, with a preference for flairing skills.
• Knowledge of barista techniques and coffee-based drinks.
• Experience in tracking inventory and reporting.
• Energetic, approachable, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
