Position: Teacher in Rautahat (Recent Job)

 PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A POSITION FOR A TEACHER IN RAUTAHAT, PROVINCE 2, NEPAL.

We are looking for a teacher for our End to Child Labour project in Rautahat. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a teacher and knowledge of the national curriculum.

The children that we are helping at the moment are between 6 and 12 years old and most have never been to school before. Our classes' schedule changes so we are looking for someone who is flexible (during the dry season the classes are in the morning and in the evening due to parents of the children working at brick factories), during the monsoon season the classes are just during the day. Total teaching hours - around 6 hours a day plus preparation time. The teacher will also be leading on meetings with the parents and the school and ensuring all children are attending the classes (and later the school when they get enrolled), that the children and parents are happy with the classes and the project.

We are looking for someone creative with passion for education who is able to inspire the children and the parents and will increase the understanding of the importance of education within the local communities.

Initial salary for the first 3 months - 20,000Rs and will be increased to 25,000Rs a month after the successful completion of the probation period, accommodation provided at our flat near the school for the candidates who are not from the area, health insurance.
