Job Description
  • Develop an implementation plan for the reading campaign
  • Mapping the exiting materials and documents
  • List of selected right materials for the learning continuation and reading campaign
  • Develop capacity building plan for province-level Learning Continuity Campaign Coordinators
  • Monthly progress update
  • Prepare distribution plan of the reading materials
  • Coordinate with partners and government counterparts
  • Monthly report
  • Review of capacity development plan
  • Coordinate with partners and government
  • Ensure campaign activities are conducted successfully
  • Monthly report
  • Review of field level activities
  • Ensure campaign is successfully conducted
  • Monitoring of campaign activities
  • Report on field level coordination
  • Develop final activity report

First Deliverable:

  • Submission of implementation plan

Job Specification

Contract Duration: The duration of the consultancy will be for nine months tentatively starting from 1 June 2022.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • At least five years’ experience in areas related to humanitarian response with a focus on Education and learning continuity
  • Familiar with the education context of Nepal including all federal structures
  • Sound knowledge of reading promotion interventions, acceleration of learning approach, learning continuation campaigns
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and rapport building skills including the ability to facilitate diverse groups (Government, CSOs, Technical Expert)
  • Strong working knowledge of Nepali and English
  • Experience in the capacity building of partners at the national, regional, and district levels

Skills required: Strategic thinking, analytical skill, high-level coordination, networking, and facilitation skills

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
