Job Description
  • (ETA) is responsible for the management of the anticipated USAID-funded Equity and Inclusion in Education Project in Nepal and will report the Chief of Party for the project. The ETA will lead the development and review of project strategies to improve early learning and reading outcomes for all children, especially girls and boys with disabilities and/or other marginalized students. The ETA will lead engagement with external agencies to ensure robust collaboration with other agencies working it catch up education, increased relevancy, effective teacher training, increased enrollment, and avoiding work duplication with other USAID education activities. Finally, the ETA will identify consultancy needs to ensure outcomes will be met, manage said consultancies, and review deliverables.
Job Specification
  • Master’s Degree or higher is education, international development, curriculum and instruction or related field. Previous experience Education-related positions for other large-scale donor funded projects preferred, Fluency in English is required. At least 10 years performing in The Education sector and 2-3 years of experience in Technical Advisory role on US Government grants. Familiarity with USAID Education strategy and work, and GESI action plan. Contextual awareness of Nepal’s education and development sector with experience of teaching and working with youth. Knowledge of the principles of Inclusive Education and Universal Design for Learning. Strong communication skills along with facilitation and training skills. Abilities in basic IT and remote communication applications and notions of ICT4E.
