Job Description
  • Lead the regional intervention strategy and implementation in coordination with headquarters and country offices
  • Co-lead on design and implementation of corporate partnership, advocacy, and collaboration strategies around the issue of child labour in value chain and children on the move;
  • Provide the regional and country projects with strategic guidance, analysis, and research on the private sector; 
  • Lead and manage relationships with key private sector actors and networks to advance relevant organization priorities, including sustainability and corporate social responsibility networks; and
  • Proactively lead and manage regional and national partnerships with large enterprises in coordination with country representatives.
  • Provides leadership to national teams and partners, ensuring all activities are of a high quality 
    and respond to assessed needs;
  • Provide analysis and technical guidance on private sector actors and markets to country office teams, program teams, and partners; 
  • Develop regional strategies and tools for targeting and engaging with private sector actors relevant to Tdh operations, advocacy and collaboration;
  • Supports country offices heads to seize new opportunities to operationalize the programme strategy;
  • Contribute to the design and development of projects including proposal writing, proposal review, reporting to donors in line with thematic policies and strategies at country and regionallevel
  • Ensures the coaching of any collaborator under her/his responsibility 
  • Ensures the correct financial management of all projects or activities and the funds available 
    for them. 
Job Specification
  • Represent Tdh regionally at external meetings and events with large enterprises, policy and civil society leaders;
  • Engage influential private sector actors to build support for Tdh public policy positions;  Support the global child labour programme on fundraising and other priorities;
  • Undertakes duty travel relating to project/programme assessment and implementation, liaison 
  • with counterparts, problem solving, and new project/programme development, as required; and
  • Contributes to knowledge management between Headquarters, Regional Offices and Country Offices

Profile
Education: Master’s degree in business administration, political sciences, international human rights law and/or related field – or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
Language: English language is a must – local language recommended
 

Experiences and aptitudes:

  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience working in the private sector, sustainability 
  • or corporate social responsibility, human rights/child rights and/or related fields;
  • Leadership experience working on partnerships, collaborations, policy initiatives engaging 
  • private sector actors and civil society;
  • Experience in building strong and productive relationships between private sectors actors and civil society actors;
  • Strong writing, analytical, presentation, and relationship-building skills; 
  • Experience working effectively in teams;
  • Negotiation skills and program team management.
  • Understanding of disruptive Innovation in development sector;
  • Experience managing projects across departmental lines;
  • Experience living and working in cross-cultural setting; 
  • Strong understanding of, and experience working In Asia ;
  • Experience in grant writing / grant management and the search for private sector partnership 
  • Experience in coordinating qualitative and quantitative research projects as well as action research projects;
  • Skills in project cycle management, monitoring & evaluation are an advantage;
