Job Description

Post: Executive Sous Chef

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY IN GATE COMMERCIAL KITCHEN:

  • Food Production - Participate in actual food preparation, produce food consistently high quality, taste and presentation and expedite during peak meal periods as needed.
  • Control all food purchases, storage and provision areas.
  • In conjunction with F&B Service Manager develop menus & create and ensure adherence to recipes and product specifications.
  • Maintain effective communication within the kitchen, be responsive to staff suggestions and concerns and work to resolve problems
  • Monitor and support the supervision and evaluation of students while undergoing practical training in kitchen
  • Cost Control of ODC / special event programs
  • Manage quality improvements activities and ensure hygiene standards met.
  • Student teaching / demonstrations as per GATE Academic / Vocational curriculum as required.

Qualification required:
Diploma in hotel management/intermediate with 5 years of experience in Kitchen or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience in Star hotel.
