How can you make a difference?

The selected candidates will provide support to the supervisor and colleagues in the unit by executing assigned HR services through applying knowledge of theoretical HR models, as well as understanding of organizational HR policies and procedures.

Please note that this announcement is not tied to any specific position, but will be used to fill any positions of Senior Human Resources Assistant, GS-7, and Human Resources Officer, NO-1 as vacancies arise.

Summary of key functions/accountabilities:

These positions will provide support to in the following areas:

  • Business Partnering
  • Strategic Human Resources
  • Support to Implementation of assigned Human Resources Services
  • Learning and Capacity Development
  • HR Data Analytics

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education & Experience – NO-1: A University Degree in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology or another related field is required.
  • One year of professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
  • Education & Experience – GS-7: Completion of secondary education with training/experience in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology or another related field is required.
  • :Seven years experience in supporting human resource management activities or related fields in an international organization and/or large corporation is required
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.  Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions.
